🙀 Anon : COURAGE IS
✧ asking questions about what you don’t know
✧ accepting that failures happen but never accepting defeat
✧ being honest & authentic with yourself and other
✧ breaking away from the familiar
IS
✧ consistently taking action despite the fear
✧ defining your own freedom and happiness
✧ embracing your quirks
✧ fearing for the reality of a dream, but pursuing it anyway
✧ moving forward even when you’re completely lost
IS
✧ not worrying about making a fool of yourself
✧ owning up to your mistakes and taking chances
✧ persevering in the face of uncertainty
✧ putting in endless hours of work without expecting immediate rewards
✧ reaching out for help when you really need it
✧ saying “no” to the customers that aren’t right for you
✧ sharing your creations with the world (or in a blog post – doing what needs to be done NOW and not setting it aside for later)
✧ sharing your fears with the ones you love
IS
✧ saying “no” to the customers that aren’t right for you
✧ tackling one problem at a time
✧ telling yourself that you’ve done all you can today
✧ thinking differently
✧ holding onto hope.

Very recently i feel the courage to love returning. For most of my life i haven’t been able to, & when i have – i’ve paid quite a price for it. But what’s life worth without love – right ?……only misery.
I have the courage to :![]()
☺︎ be alone, with myself
☺︎ express myself, unless i’m unhealthily attached
☺︎ face poverty
☺︎ have kids, get a house , retire and die model
☺︎ make a spectacle or fool of, or draw attention to myself in public, through singing, whistling, being extraverted & entertaining in public
TO :
☺︎ not to care what others might think – about many things
☺︎ persist in adversity
☺︎ push my body physically
☺︎ show myself, to speak with beautiful women, to allow them & those i love to see me as i am
TO :
☺︎ step into the unknown
☺︎ see the ugly parts of myself, & stand – having seen what resides there
☺︎ take chances & risks in life, career, path, & implement ideas because i back myself, sometimes foolishly, but more often not
☺︎ trust myself & own I KNOW that whatever happens, i will be okay, I will always have sufficient
☺︎ try to live differently, not to be different, but believing that i might find a better way, by recognizing the lack of meaning & the point of only living in the 9/5 .

SAMUEL “BILLY” WILDER June 22, 1906 – March 27, 2002 (age 95)
Austrian-born Jewish-American filmmaker, screenwriter, producer, artist,& journalist – whose career spanned more than five decades. He is regarded as one of the most brilliant & versatile filmmakers of Hollywood’s golden age. He didn’t just write great films, he broke Hollywood’s rules to make them unforgettable.
As a writer & director his career was defined by the courage to tackle taboo subjects, subvert happy endings, & relentlessly mock the hypocrisies of American culture. He pushed thru’ Hollywood boundaries with his unflinching film noir classics & brilliant, boundary-pushing comedies. (MORE….)
He once listed some of the things he LACKed the COURAGE TO :
🕴 accept certain kinds of responsibilities, mostly through my long time fear of loving
🕴 accept responsibility for hurting people sometimes, that is – to bring emotional pain to people when it’s unavoidable
🕴 ask for what i want (often)
🕴 face physical pain, even though i used to deal with it as a matter of course
🤔 LACKed COURAGE TO
🕴 let go & bear emotional suffering when i’m unhealthily attached. When i am healthily attached – & this has happened – i feel melancholy, bitter sweet, & not especially bitter
🕴 live without hope. i wonder what other peoples lists would look like? If you’re going to tell people the truth, be funny or they’ll kill you
🕴 I long lacked the courage to love.
🕴 not to justify myself, to bear slurs
🕴 physically defend myself, i go catatonic
🤔 LACKed COURAGE TO
🕴 smack people in the mouth, even when it is called for. — physically defend myself, i go catatonic.
🕴 suffer in certain ways, almost all are physical in character
🕴 tell the truth, for fear of consequences, mostly in unhealthily attached relationships. Also as an immediate fear reaction to work stuff, partly from fear that my incompetence will be recognized. Billy Wilder
